Barter Items to bring for Monica:
Trade school runs on barter and rather than a monetary exchange. Monica, the teacher of this class has requested one of the following:
- a pastry of any description (savoury or sweet!)
- An Instagram post or tweet about the class (follow Monica via @TheSpiceClub on twitter and instagram)
- Interesting flavoured crisps
More about Monica:
Monica runs an Indian cookery school in Digbeth, a pop-up restaurant and also writes a food recipe blog called the Spice Diary.
About Trade School
The Trade School network is a collective of self-organised barter-for-knowledge schools across the world. Trade School began in January 2009 as an experiment by a group of artists in New York City who wanted to celebrate local wisdom, mutual respect, and the social nature of exchange.
Trade School Digbeth is a local chapter of this initiative driven by the Impact Hub Birmingham community and friends. For more info and other upcoming Trade School classes, click here.
