Bernard Spiegal is Director of PLAYLINK, a multi-disciplinary practice focused on securing children and teenagers’ freedom to play in variety of settings, with a particular interest in the communal (eg social housing) and wider public realm. Describing play as ‘the practice of freedom’, he is a noted writer/speaker on the subject of risk and an advocate of ‘Risk-Benefit Analysis’ – a balanced approach to managing risk.
Access Insurance is in the business of helping charities and voluntary organisations manage risk as independent chartered insurance brokers. They specialise in providing advice, insurance broking and consultancy services (and donate half of profits made back) to the voluntary sector.
Childrens Quarter is a co-operative of independent groups based in Birmingham committed to campaigning for, delivering, supporting and expanding community services for children and young people who are at risk of social isolation. The event is free for members of Chidlren’s Quarter and to any interested parties (who are free to make a donation towards costs).
