GlobalNet 21’s national convenor Francis Sealey will be explaining (over Skype) how GlobalNet 21 goes about helping ordinary people to find ways of addressing important issues – like democracy, climate change, refugees and community cohesion – and to connect with the people who might help (or hinder) them.
The organisation has a strong presence in London. However it also has a global following and connects with people through webinars, hangouts and the new media. Altogether it holds over 75 events a year where people can engage and then network to make a difference.
This meet up is part of Impact Hub Birmingham’s Open Project Nights and will also be the launch for the GlobalNet 21 Birmingham group. If you have a laptop or tablet, please do bring it with you to this meet up. If you would like to attend this meet up, please book via Eventbrite and also remember to join the GN21 Meetup.
The schedule for the evening will be as follows:
19.00: Intro from Francis Sealey (via Skype)
19.30: Interactive session in groups according to interest
20.30-21.00: Birmingham group and it’s activities
