Open Project Night

Every Monday at Impact Hub Birmingham is Open Project Night, 6.30pm – 10.30pm.

Once a week we fling open the doors of Impact Hub Birmingham extra wide and invite any imagineers working on projects, ventures and ideas focused on unleashing a better us – a better Birmingham – to all come together in the same space. Creatives, activists, entrepreneurs, dreamers, scientists, makers and doers, everyone is welcome to come along to add their vision of a better Birmingham.

Of the City 02 – DIY Culture & Institutions

Come and share something you’d like to discuss, in relation to the theme: ‘DIY Culture & Institutions’. Perhaps you want to chat about transparency, your upcoming festival, funding, institutions of the future, or something completely different. You decide. This event brings the collective intelligence, capacity, experiences and resources into a space so we can design the future together. Conversations are directed however members wish, so that solutions become tangible and relationships form of their own accord.

Of the City is a gathering and open forum, for anyone who cares about the city, is passionate about culture or who has an interest in the creative industries. You might be a student or educator, an avid theatre-goer, museum lover or be working professionally in the sector. Perhaps you attend a festival or two or you might just be a proud West Midlands-er.

MAIA are an artist-led production and development company, building infrastructure, relationships and platforms for sustainable creativity. As we strive forward with our plans, we want to ensure we’re championing the voices/raising the concerns of the city as we go. You can get more details and book a place to take part in the discussions here.
