After 9 weeks of trialling Hub Run Club with weekly Couch to 5k and 5k and Beyond groups, the Hub Run Club is now fully established and has moved to Thursday mornings.
Led by Run Birmingham’s Marlon Patrice, the weekly run club has now combined both groups. If you’re a beginner, don’t let this put you off. Hub Run Club is made up of both established runners as well as beginners.
Runners meet up at 9am at Impact Hub Birmingham to go running for one hour. Everyone will begin with a brisk 5-minute warm-up walk, then for the Count to 5k runners we will alternate 60 seconds of running, with 90 seconds of walking, for a total of 20 minutes. The pace will be picked up week by week.
5k and Beyond is the session for intermediate runners. Whether you’re a regular or more confident runner, there will be a range of paces to help you to start pushing your running a bit further, or simply to get your morning jog in every Thursday.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring your running shoes!
