Birmingham SOUP x PAUSE

Birmingham SOUP is back with a special event to celebrate Impact Hub Birmingham’s closing festival!

SOUP gives residents the opportunity to learn about projects happening in Birmingham and vote on the project that they believe is the best benefit to the community. It feeds the needs of small enterprises who require help and guidance and gives them the opportunity to pitch for micro-funding, share their project ideas and network with like-minded people.

How it works:

  1. Join us for a public soup dinner!
  2. Pay a suggested donation of £5 or more.
  3. Learn about creative / community projects happening in Birmingham
  4. Vote on which project to fund with the money raised from the dinner.

The goal of Birmingham SOUP is an event where people can gather and share a meal, meet people, share resources and support creative community projects in Birmingham.

You can book your ticket to this special Birmingham SOUP event here via eventbrite. Tickets are free but attendees are encouraged to pay a recommended £5 on the door. All door ticket sales go towards the funds raised for the winning pitch!

Start a SOUP

SOUP is a powerful tool to start conversations, practice democracy and fund new projects / people / ideas in our neighborhood, community or city. There are many models on how to do it and Detroit SOUP was the instigator for this unique model for the redevelopment, reorganization, re-imagining of our cities. Many cities around the world have started SOUPs based on their model. For more information on starting your own SOUP, visit detroitsoup.com/startasoup or come along to the event and chat to us / connect to others.
