Hub Talks: An Evening with Nadiya Hussain

THSH and Impact Hub Birmingham with Foyles and Writers to Readers are proud to present an evening with one of the nation’s favourite bakers; Nadiya Hussain.

Since winning the Great British Bake-Off in 2015, Nadiya Hussain has captured the nation’s hearts.  She has baked the Queen’s birthday cake, published a cookbook and a children’s book, fronted a BBC One documentary, The Chronicles of Nadiya and judged the BBC’s Junior Bake-Off.

Already demonstrating she is a woman of many talents, Nadiya has now turned her hand to fiction and makes her debut with The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters (published by HQ Books on 12thJanuary 2017).

The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters is the hilarious yet heart-warming story of an utterly dysfunctional but totally lovable family, exploring life, faith and identity as a second generation Bangladeshi in the UK. Nadiya will be in conversation with Immy Kaur, Co-Founder of Impact Hub Birmingham.

Please note that your ticket will also entitle you to a copy of Nadiya’s book The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters which can be collected from the Foyles stand at the event.

This event will be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.
