Ageing and Digital technology: user design workshop

Volunteers wanted – workshop to help co-design how digital technology can better serve people’s wants and needs

Who we are:

We are Joined Up Digital – a network of charities and social purpose organisations aiming to see more people enjoy the opportunities and benefits of digital technology. We have a common goal of improving later life, and our members include Centre for Ageing Better, New Philanthropy Capital, Reason Digital, Big Lottery Fund and the Age Action Alliance.

Where we need help:

We are running a one day workshop to explore how people, particularly in later life, interact with digital technology – or how they would like to interact with it if it were designed the way they’d like.

We need volunteers to participate in a highly interactive workshop:

–         People and organisations (particularly charities, social enterprises and community groups) who work with those in later life and could access digital technology on their behalf, e.g. carer, charity worker

–         People with some or lots of experience with technology

–         People with little or no experience of technology at all

This workshop will give you a chance to influence and shape our thinking as we work towards ambitious goals of helping older people get the greatest possible benefit through technology, helping them access and navigate a world of opportunities that can help them life the life they want to. We aim for the day to be both fun and useful for participants. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Places are limited, so please confirm your attendance by 8th August at the latest by email to
